Our story
Born on Elizabeth Street.
VELQORA started with frustration at the way fragrance is usually sold: crowded counters, pushy pitches and a blur of paper strips. We wanted the opposite. A quiet room, a carefully edited shelf, and people who'd rather ask you questions than read you a script.
Today, our boutique at 244 Elizabeth St is a place to slow down. Regulars drop in to smell what's new. First-timers come in nervous and leave with a scent they can describe in their own words. Gift-buyers walk out with something that actually suits the person they're shopping for.

Every fragrance tells its story in three acts. Understanding them is the secret to choosing well, and it's the first thing we walk you through in a consultation.
- Top notes 0–15 min
- The bright first impression: citrus, herbs and light spices that greet you, then fade.
- Heart notes 15 min–4 hrs
- The true character: florals, fruits and warm spices that define how the scent feels.
- Base notes 4+ hrs
- The lasting memory: woods, resins, musks and vanilla that linger on skin and clothes.
